Rob Leeds ’77

“After PC and my BA In Sociology, I tried different things to see what I wanted to do. I enrolled in an MBA Program and attended for one semester before deciding the business world was not for me. After working for a year I entered the US Navy, commissioned an Ensign after completing Aviation Officer Candidate School in Pensacola, FL. The Navy required a college degree to apply and did not care what the degree was in. I was a Naval Flight Officer and flew both carrier and land based reconnaissance aircraft, specializing in Electronic Warfare. I had duty stations around the US and the world and was the Commanding Officer of a reconnaissance squadron based in Rota Spain. I served 26 years on active duty plus another eight as a Navy civilian based at the Pentagon. “
Since retiring from the service, Rob Leeds ’77 volunteers as a Docent at the Air and Space Museum and as a part time baseball scout for a major league team.
