Life After PC: Sociology & Anthropology

What can you do with a Sociology degree?

The opportunities available to those holding a BA in Sociology are wide-ranging, and the alumni of the Department of Sociology & Anthropology have gone on to have a multitude of different careers in public policy, business, social service and public service, education, counseling, law and law enforcement, and much more. Check out these alumni stories below to hear from our alumni about their experiences at Providence College and their post-grad careers.

“I was encouraged to trust my learning agility as I fostered my curiosity about teaching sociology. I was encouraged to lead from my position, consider my relative privilege, and believe in myself. I know my career would not be the same if it wasn’t for that initial encouragement. The world needs more sociologists.”
