“I am currently working for Family Service of Rhode Island as a Community Health Worker (CHW). I am based at Jenks Park Pediatrics in Central Falls. In my role, I work directly with patients and their families to address their social determinants of health (SDOH) and mental health needs. The population I serve primarily consists of recently settled immigrants. I lead a once a month networking session for CHW’s in the Central Falls/Pawtucket area. I am also currently in a certificate program with UMass Chan Medical School and Women and Infants Hospital to become a medical Spanish interpreter. “
