60 Seconds of Sociology with Dr. Eric Hirsch

In this edition of 60 Seconds of Sociology, Dr. Eric Hirsch talks about the housing and rent crisis in Rhode Island, and how the consequences of this crisis result in people living on the street. Having worked for three decades to end long term homelessness in Rhode Island, Dr. Hirsch shares the factors that contribute to homelessness and the ways in which the state can combat this health emergency. As Dr. Hirsch says, “it’s not that complicated – we just need to put people in apartments.”
